A joint study from RMT Robotics and Modern Materials Handling on the role and acceptance of automatic guided vehicles (AGVs) for material handling was conducted in July 2009. Over 280 material handling, warehouse and distribution operations professionals were polled to determine the purpose and perceptions that revolve around AGV use.
